Installed WordPress via Control Panel on Webhost, but no plugins on Dashboard

Hi, I have searched and searched for these answers and still am not understanding what I have done wrong. I have my domain hosted on iPage and installed WordPress via my control panel. However, I don’t have plugins on my dashboard. Do I need to do the install from WP.org as well as the install I have already done?
