Installing a blog with existing content on my own server help

  Hi there,

  Searched several times for a topic related to this question & couldn’t find a very good answer.

  I have a blog. It’s been up & running for oh, about a month now. I’ve decided that I would like to host it on my own server now. When I install WordPress on my server, are all of my existing posts & such going to “port over” to my server? Or will I have to start from scratch?

  Another Q – can I install it so that the address is: blog.mydomain.com?

  I like to recommend that you get in touch with http://install4free.wordpress.net
  Basically once the install is done you export your content from your wordpress.com blog and import it into your wordpress.org blog.
