Installing a new theme

  Do I need to have a business account to install a theme that I bought on themeforest and want to use here?

  I have a theme that want to scrap and install a new theme. When I tried to install the new one, it is all scrambled and looks nothing like the one on the site advertising it.
  My question is, how do I completely scrap the theme I currently have, so that I can install a new one, which I hope looks like the sample??
  I don’t have enough of a site built for it to matter if I save it, just want to start over. Thanks.

  @mixedhairlove, using your own theme bought somewhere else on WordPress.com requires our Business Plan, yes:

  Please start your own thread at https://wordpress.com/help/contact, and include a link to the site you need help with. That said, a WordPress.com site cannot exist without a theme, so you can only switch from one theme to another, not delete an active theme from a site without activating another theme.
