Installing a Theme

Hi I just purchased a theme from Themezilla for 60$ and I tried to install it and it looks like I would have to pay for a 400$/year upgrade in order to use it? That’s insane. I just want my site to look a specific way. I found a similar theme in the wordpress premium themes section and it looks like I can buy it for 107$ but will I have the same problem? Is there no way to use a premium theme without upgrading to WP Business for 400$/year?

Themes can’t be uploaded to sites hosted on WordPress.com. They can only be uploaded to self-hosted blogs running on WordPress.org software. You can read more about the differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org here:

To be clear, WordPress.com Business does not allow you to upload themes purchased elsewhere to WordPress.com. It just allows you to choose from any of the 300 available WordPress.com themes (the free ones and the paid ones).
