Installing a theme I bought?

Just bought and downloaded a WordPress theme, how exactly am I supposed to use it? Most of the info regarding this matter seems out dated, as well as the instructions that came with the theme (admin page ->appearance->add new themes, when there is actually no option for installing a theme in the appearance tab.) Help is appreciated!

you can’t install your own theme here – that is why that tab is missing – it is a security and reliability issue – the themes here are highly modified to run here – ask for a refund

Says that you can’t upload themes.. is this something new? Why isit that I just bought a theme for WordPress if WordPress doesn’t allow custom themes?

I’m sorry, but themes can’t be uploaded to WordPress.com. That’s a feature of self-hosted blogs through WordPress.org.

You may use any of the available themes we have under Appearance > Themes in your dashboard, and you may want to look into purchasing the Custom Design Upgrade to customize one of the themes we offer:
