Installing a Theme, No 'Add New' Button in Admin Page Under Themes…

  Hello,

  I just purchased the $99 package and also got domain remapping. I am upset because I am immediately running into a significant problem with WordPress.

  There is no “Add New” button in the Admin Page. I went to the Admin page, went to Appearance, then Themes, and there simply is no button to install a theme that I purchased from themeforest. I cannot figure out how to install the theme.

  Please help!!! I would really appreciate it.

  Please note that themes can’t be uploaded to sites hosted on WordPress.com. They can only be uploaded to self-hosted blogs running on WordPress.org software. You can read more about the differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org here:

  Hello,

  I really appreciate the quick response!! Ok. So I was completely unaware of this, clearly. I would like to go ahead and try the WordPress.org option. Does that mean that I would be refunded my $99 purchase? And I would be able to undo my original domain remapping from the .com to the WordPress.org option?

  Hi Alex,

  Yes, you would be able to receive a refund. This guide will step you through the process of moving your site to a WordPress.org instance:

  As we only support sites hosted here at WordPress.com, all issues with the new site – including the importing of the file – must be taken to the WordPress.org support community:

  http://wordpress.org/support/

  If you’d like assistance moving your WordPress.com site to WordPress.org, we have a service called Guided Transfer that does all the work for you. Check it out to see if it’s right for you:

  Take a look at that, and if you confirm that you want to leave, please reply and I can give you a refund and remove all your upgrades, including the domain mapping. You will have to update your nameservers to your new host.
