Installing antivirus protection for a wordpress.com site

  I was told that subscribers contacted a malware virus. I am trying to install the wordpress antivirus plugin. The directions given are to “Upload the folder antivirus into ../wp-content/plugins/”. I tried to go to the site: “http://vegasnonprofits.wordpress.com/wp-content/plugins/”, and was redirected here.

  Where should I be going to uplaod the antivirus folder, if not to this address?

  We don’t allow plugins on WordPress.com for security reasons. Plugins are a feature only available for self-hosted blogs provided through WordPress.org.

  We do scan for such things quite often, and I can’t find anything wrong with your blog. Does the warning still appear for the user?
