Installing Aweber on my webpage
-
For starters.
I have a premium account with WordPress and with that I received a domain name as well – http://www.giveforgranted.com. When I sign into my dashboard, it takes me to the .wordpress.com domain and I am unable to install my Aweber E-mail Sign-up Form because I am using a .wordpress.com domain. How do I switch this? and how do I install my Aweber account?
So many people use Aweber, I am surprised I never found a forum with the answer!
Thanks.

Hi there!
There are several types of embed code that we don’t allow on WordPress.com for security reasons, such as iframes, script, and forms. Aweber uses such codes. You can read more about the code we do and don’t allow here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/code/
Alternatively you can follow these instructions on how to add a follow blog widget for visitors to sign up to your blog: http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/follow-blog-widget/
Let me know if I can help with anything else!

I require Aweber for my blog and have now realized that since the WordPress hosting doesn’t offer it, I would like to change domains and use WordPress just as a software.
I have requested a website transfer to GoDaddy, but since my account hasn’t been set up for even 15 days yet, it will not allow me to do so.
How can I switch my web hosting to GoDaddy, keep the WordPress software and allow my website http://www.giveforgranted.com to stay the same?
Thanks.

You can point the domain you registered at WordPress.com to another server (hosting service), with these steps: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/change-name-servers/
You’ll need to obtain the name server values from your current host. You should be able to find them on their support documentation, or contact them and ask for the information. (Name servers may be referred as “nameservers” or “NS records” instead.)
I hope this helps – let me know if you have any more questions!
