Installing custom Theme

  I see on the site it says I cannot install a custom theme – yet every other place I look it says that custom themes that are downloaded can be installed. I downloaded a theme I purchased from Themeforest and I cannot get it to install. Please advise? Thanks!

  I’m sorry, but themes can’t be uploaded to WordPress.com. That’s a feature of self-hosted blogs through WordPress.org.

  You may use any of the available themes we have under Appearance > Themes in your dashboard, and you may want to look into purchasing the Custom Design Upgrade to customize one of the themes we offer:

  Ok – how do I set up a self-hosted blog through WordPress.org? I have my own domain name, and my own server to host my website? Thanks!
