Installing new Theme ruined the website
-
Hi there, WordPress team.
I would like to know if there is a way to get back the old data. It started to get ruined when i installed another ‘installed kit’ to the site dashbaord’ and after it gets installed all the site are ruined and now are most of the back color and fonts and some other elements are out of place as well. Can u tell me if there is anyways to restore our old site in anyway possible? I also tried to restore through the revision of the website but it doesn’t seems to work as the whole theme of the site is still white.
Please let me know on this ASAP as we are also in a rush to use our website for showcasing as well,

Hi there,
I understand the frustration you’re experiencing with your site’s current situation. However, it sounds like your website is using the open-source version of WordPress and is hosted with another provider, not on our WordPress.com managed hosting. Due to this, our ability to directly investigate and resolve issues on sites not hosted with us is limited.
Our managed hosting at WordPress.com offers a variety of features, including performance tuning, automatic backups, and more. You can find out more about what we offer here: https://wordpress.com/hosting/
If you’re interested in moving your site to our managed hosting, we have an easy-to-use migration plugin that can help with the transfer process. This ensures your content and most settings are moved smoothly.
Use the Move to WordPress.com plugin to migrate a self-hosted WordPress site to WordPress.com. Follow the steps in this guide to import your site (including your content, media, plugins, and theme) directly from your wp-admin dashboard. Prerequisites To follow the steps in this guide, you will need: Your source site: a WordPress site with any other hosting provider (referred to as a seGiven your current situation, if you’re looking for immediate assistance with your open-source WordPress site, the best place to turn to would be the community support forums for the open-source version of WordPress. The community there is very knowledgeable and might have encountered similar issues in the past. They are in the best position to guide you.

I hope this helps, and I truly hope you can get your site back to how it was.

Is there by any chance a way to get it recovered or reverse it back to the older version that we had via the dashboard since this all happened when I installed the Kit in the dashboard.
Thank you for your response -
@chamrongzooms unfortunately there’s not a lot we can do on our side because you aren’t using our hosting right now.
Are you using any backup services, like the one Jetpack offers? We use that here with some of our plans; automatically tracks changes and allows admins to “rewind” them if needed. If you’ve got that or something similar, you can roll back the changes. If you don’t, you might ask your host to see if they have any backups.
