Installing new theme via FTP

  I’ve searched everywhere, and maybe I’m missing something, but I can’t figure out what to do once I’ve uploaded the new theme to the /wp-content/themes folder (I’m using GoDaddy). It’s there on my server, but how do I activate it? It seems like all the tutorials I’ve found are for the old dashboard. It’s almost infuriating how little help the “Adding new themes” help topic is.
