Installing Purchased Theme

    I’ve downloaded a theme from ThemeForest. When I try to import it into my free WordPress account, I get this error:

    This does not appear to be a WXR file, missing/invalid WXR version number

    Can’t seem to work around it. Tried to go to ‘Appearance’ and ‘Themes’, but there’s no ‘New’ button at the top.

    Is this because I’m using the free version of WordPress?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    HI there!

    You’re able to install themes and plugins only on self-hosted WordPress, that is, your own host where you install the WordPress software, please check the doc WordPress.com and WordPress.org for further info.
