installing theme

  hello,
  i recently set up a free wordpress account and wanted to install the salient theme. i have the zip file downloaded and ready on my computer. however, when i go to my dashboard > appearance > themes, there are no options to ‘add new’. how do i install/upload the new theme?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hello @dagampat,

  Uploading themes requires a Business Plan on WordPress.com.

  To see what is available to you on your current plan, click My Site and go to Themes.

  Hi there,

  The theme you bought is for the self-hosted version of WordPress, called WordPress.org. See:

  https://wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  On WordPress.com you can only use one of the themes listed under My Site ->Themes, unless you upgrade to the Business Plan as mentioned above.
