INSTALLING: Transfer from wordpress.com blog to own server

  Hi,
  I want to transfer a wordpress.com to my own self-hosted server. I also want to make it so I can install custom themes and what not. How do I go about that? I know there are a bunch of how-tos but I am not sure which one is for me. Thanks for the help!

  thank you that helps! using this, will i be able to have custom css? or would i have to purchase the upgrades even though it’s on my own server?

  You won’t need to purchase any upgrades; you can edit the CSS and HTML as much as you like :)
