Hi there!
I’ll be happy to help you with this! :)
You can use a domain or a subdomain with a WordPress.com site by upgrading to a WordPress.com plan. We have various plans that cater to sites with different needs. If you’re mostly looking to build a simple site with your own subdomain, the WordPress.com Personal plan is a great starting point.
This plan gives you additional storage space, removes ads, and allows custom domains to be set as the primary address.
After upgrading, here are the instructions you can follow to add a subdomain:
A subdomain has an extra piece of text before your main domain. For example, if your domain is yourgroovydomain.com, you can create subdomains such as blog.yourgroovydomain.com and shop.yourgroovydomain.com which you can use with a separate website. This guide will show you how to connect a subdomain to your site. Getting Started A few items to point out before you begin: Decide onIf you’re building a WordPress.com site for the first time, we have excellent resources to help you here: https://wordpress.com/learn
I’d also like to take this opportunity to learn more about the site you’re creating with us. Would you mind telling us more about your new site? What’s the site for, and what features do you need on the site? Based on your site requirements, we’ll be happy to share specific guides and suggestions and help you accordingly.
You also get email support with the Personal plan. Higher-tier plans like Business and eCommerce also have access to live chat support if you opt for the yearly billing option.
And if you need us to build the site for you, don’t forget to check out our website designing service here: https://wordpress.com/built-by/
Feel free to let us know if there’s anything else you need, and we’ll be happy to help.
