Installing WP-Stats (Jetpack version) triggers fatal error (aWeber /PHP issue?)
-
I have installed the Jetpack plugin and would like to use WordPress Stats to monitor my site visitor’s behaviour. However, when i do it refuses to install saying a fatal error was triggered and then gives me the error message
Sorry, AWeber Web Forms requires PHP 5.2 or higher. Please deactivate AWeber Web Forms.
My host uses php 5.2 and 5.3 so I feel I should be OK there – there seems to be some conflict, but I don’t want to uninstall aWeber’s plugin as they have my mailing lists.
Suggestions please ?

Hi there,
That error is not from Jetpack but from the AWeber Web Form Plugin: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/aweber-web-form-widget/
I would recommend de-activating it and contacting their support staff from http://www.aweber.com/

Hi Stephdau,
That’s what aweber said.
i too love positive and productive discussions (see below Leave a Reply window), but this is not a good start!

Sorry, but since we have no control over your self-hosted site or the AWeber plugin’s code, I’m at a loss as to what else we could suggest.
