Installing Yoast Premium

  • Unknown's avatar

I recently updated my Yoast plugin to a premium subscription. After attempting to install the update, I received the following message: ‘Destination folder already exists. /home/vmspeech/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo-premium/’ I am not confident that I can safely remove the destination folder and start again, and would like somebody to walk me through the process.

    Many thanks!

    Hi there,

Can you post your domain or website URL here so we can make sure your site is hosted here on WordPress.com?

Once we confirm that, then we can tag this post for staff as they can help you look into your plugin and even force re-install the plugin if needed.

    Thanks!

  • Hi there,

Your site is not hosted on WordPress.com, but using the open source WordPress.org software at another hosting provider.

Please contact support for the Yoast plugin you’re using directly for help with this.

For general help with the version of WordPress you’re using, you can ask the WordPress.org community over at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/

Thanks for your reply. I have managed to delete the folder from my host cPanel & install the plugin successfully ;-)
