Institutional WordPress acount

I would like to use WordPress to create e-portfolios in two courses that I am teaching. How do I create an institutional WordPress account?

If you’re looking to use WordPress for student e-portfolios, WordPress.com doesn’t offer a single “institutional” account that owns or manages everyone’s work. Accounts are always created per individual user.

The usual approach in a course setting is one of the following:

    • Each student creates their own WordPress.com account and site for their portfolio (which they can keep after the course ends).
    • You create a central course site and add students as users (with appropriate roles), if the portfolios are meant to live in one shared space.

The first option is often preferred for e-portfolios, since students retain ownership of their work beyond the class.

If you can share how you’d like students to submit or display their portfolios (individual sites vs one shared site), it would be easier to suggest the best setup.
