Instructions for changing blog url are inaccurate Please Help

    Hi. I hope someone can help me. I tried to follow the instructions at http://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-blog-address/ to change my blog url, but the instructions do not reflect what happens when I follow the steps.
    Yes, I own the blog I am trying to change. No, I am not trying to get rid of the wordpress domain. I simply need to change incorrect spelling.
    Instructions say:
    “1. Go to My Blogs in your dashboard and move your mouse over the address you wish to change. You will see that a Change Blog Address option appears. Note that you will only see this option for blogs that you own.”
    I GO THERE: http://wordpress.com/#!/my-blogs/ BUT I SEE A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT SCREEN THAN THE ONE DISPLAYED IN THE HELP ARTICLE. When I hover over my blog address, as instructed,even though I do own the blog, there is no “Change Blog Address Option.” Perhaps the method for changing blog urls has changed since the help article was written. Please post new instructions that reflect the actual process. I really need to change this url very soon. Thank You.

    I simply need to change incorrect spelling.

    What exactly in spelled incorrectly?
    The Blog Title spelling and optional Tagline spelling can be chnaged at any time here > Settings > General.

    Not so when one want to change an actual blog address ie. a URL. URLs are not “editable”. They are unique web addresses and we cannot just change the spelling of any URL. We have to register a blog that has the correct spelling in the URL.

    Also are you a logged-in Admin of the blog in question?

    I had the same problem so I removed some of the screen options. Just click on screen options at the top of the page and uncheck the ones you don’t want. When the screen redraws itself the option to change name will appear as described in the instructions. Good luck!
