Integrate my Spreadshop w/HTML-code, into my WordPress site
-
Goal: Integrate my Spreadshirt (or “Spreadshop”, from the online clothes shop Spreadshirt.com), into my WordPress site, using the HTML-code on my spreadshop-site. My spreadshop adress is btw https://emojiwearing.myspreadshop.no/
So, I did as saw on a youtube video, copied the code (see pictures under) and pasted it into the only WordPress site I have there. I saw that it works, cause when I clicked on show as, the spreadshop page appeared. But then it goes away after some seconds….

I have already purchased a regular Premium subscription. I have also purchased the domain http://www.emojiwearing.com via the WordPress when I bought the subscription last week.
But as you see, when you go to emojiwearing.com (which basically is the wordpress site), you only see the written code…(so called embed code???)
So, is this going to work if I upgrade my subscription?, or is there some thing I should do/adjust on settings or some place..?
Thanks for any feedback on this!

Hey there –
Thanks for getting in touch. Please send me a live link to the material you have on Spreadshop. I’ve not personally worked with them before, and need to take a closer look.
For clarification, you want to link to the Spreadshop material from your WordPress.com site. Is that right?
When I visit the site I can see that there’s a broken link towards the top of the page. Is this where you’d like the products to be seen?

many thanks for replying here.
This is the link to my spreadshop:
https://emojiwearing.myspreadshop.no/
Exactly, I think you understand me correctly; I want to kind of copy the whole Spreadshop-page, into the wordpress-site. Then, when people use this adress
they will see my Spreadshop, and be able to purchase items.
Yeah, now there is only a link when you visit http://www.emojiwearing.com (actually this is the wordpress-site, as you understand) . The link is the link that Spreadshop provides me with.
This wehere I d like the products to be seen yes.
Did you get any wiser ? :-)

Hey there,
Many thanks for reaching out.
It looks like you’re being supplied some code there, which contains Javascript.
It’s possible to use this JS in the ,WordPress.com Business plan but not the WordPress.com Premium plan.
To integrate the two sites, you may need the WordPress.com Business plan to either run that code or use an exporter/importer to do the heavy lifting.
So, I did as saw on a youtube video, copied the code (see pictures under) and pasted it into the only WordPress site I have there.
Are you able to share the YouTube video you’re watching and or any documentation you’re following. We can look to point you in the right direction and outline which steps are possible to get that set up.
Speak soon and looking forward to hearing from you!

Hello and thanks for reaching out!
So, here s the link to the ca 1 min Youtube Video I ve been watching:
Its from about 2022 I think, and I have followed exactly the steps as being described there. Yeah, the code contains JavaScript it looks like.
It makes sense if I have to upgrade my subscription. I am willing to do that, try that, and leave a feedback comment in this message thread.

Hey there,
Many thanks for that.
Looking a that video, you would need a Business Plan to run that code on the site.
Looking at that code though however, it’s just an iframe to another site – there’s no real integration as such. You’d have two headers, two footers, and viewing a site within a site.
I did some digging and you may wish to consider using this plugin instead: https://en-gb.wordpress.org/plugins/wp-spreadplugin/ which relies on an API to your store. Looking at the screesnshots – this means your products would sit within your site, with your sites styling, making it truly integrated.
Again, this plugin would require the WordPress.com Business plan, but may be a smarter way of doing things.
I hope this helps and proves useful. :)

Thanks for this, I am looking greatly forward to try out this alternative during this month.
