Integrate non-WP.com WP installation with WP.com account?

  Is there a way to link a wordpress installation hosted off wordpress.com to your wordpress.com account so that you can use tags, etc… within the WP.com community?

  No, none at all. I would expect there never will be, either. It’s too advantageous to Automattic to keep them separate. You can use tags, etc, but they don’t go to global tag pages unless you have a WordPress MU install of your own, and then they would go to a SEPARATE global tag page, not WP.com’s.
