Integrating galleries/albums/thumbnails and ecommerce
-
A beginner’s question on how to proceed – I want to set up a set of galleries with thumbnails, and when clicked, a page will open with a large picture and details about the work, including an add to cart button. Do I set up my pictures in galleries and albums using Nextgen and then add the ecommerce components somehow (perhaps using woocommerce), or do I set up my pictures directly in woocommerce as products and do everything in that tool?
thanks, rob -
Hi Rob,
Your account hasn’t created any sites on WordPress.com yet. Have you already created a site or are you looking at the options available for creating one here? If you’ve already created a site, can you share the address here?
If it uses self hosted WordPress.org software, the WordPress.org support forums will be the best place to ask for advice.
I can check where the site is hosted if you aren’t sure :)

Hi. I’m in the process of setting up my site. I use Bluehost and the WordPress they integrate. If I haven’t published the site yet, can you still access it? It’s ohoskiart.com

Hi –
No, we aren’t able to access sites using the WordPress installation. That’s different from what we do here at WordPress.com.
For help with this site you’ll want to visit https://wordpress.org/support/ where the community of volunteers will try and help. You can also search for your question and see if it’s been answered previously.
More about the differences between WordPress.com and the WordPress installation can be found on this page: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
