  If I have created a free WP account, is it possible to join with instant articles?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  If you’re wanting to use Instant Articles you will need to install a plugin. In order to do this you need to be on a WordPress.com Business Plan as the free plans do not include plugin installations.
