Integration Request: WooCommerce and Internal Order Management System

    Hello everyone,

    I am currently working on an e-commerce application for our IT firm, and we are using WooCommerce as the front-end for our online store.

    We have an internal order management system that handles various processes and validations for our orders. To streamline our operations, we would like to integrate WooCommerce with our internal system.

    Here’s an overview of what we aim to achieve:

    1. When a customer purchases a voucher through WooCommerce, we need to send the relevant order information (voucher details, customer information, and order details) to our internal order management system using a POST API request.
    2. Our internal system will process the request, perform necessary validations and checks, and generate a response.
    3. We need to receive this response from our internal system in a timely and reliable manner.
    4. Based on the response received, we will determine whether to proceed with the order or decline it. The response will provide crucial information for this decision-making process.

    Since webhooks support only one-way communication, we are exploring options for a direct API integration between WooCommerce and our internal system.
