Integration with Google Photos
-
I’ve recently connected my Google Photos account with WordPress, and have found it to be very helpful and convenient. My only issue is that I sometimes am missing photos, even when I use the search functionality – i.e., I’ll search a specific date (‘June 9’) and I’ll see photos before and after the photo that I’m looking for, but not the specific one that I can see in my Google Photos account. Any chance there’s something that I’m overlooking? There’s less photos than the 1000 item limit mentioned in the FAQ on the subject, but perhaps I’m running into a different restriction?
Cheers!

Hi there,
You’re not overlooking something. This is a known issue, but it’s a problem with Google’s API, and not something we’re able to fix from our end.
The only suggestion I can make is to try different ways of searching for the photos – you already tried by date, but also try the file name, or try searching a word describing the content of the image to find it via Google Photos’s auto-tagging.

Thanks for replying, kokkieh!
That’s unfortunate, but as a web developer I completely understand being at the mercy of a third-party API. Filename is probably my best bet for a specific photo, so I’ll give that a shot.
Cheers!
