  Hello, I have a question about uploading images.

  I have heard that if you upload an image onto facebook, then that image then becomes the sole property of facebook and I no longer have any rights to it.

  Is this true for wordpress as well? I would like to upload some photo’s from my photography portfolio but if that is the case then obviously, i no longer wish to proceed.

  Anyone know the answer? Or where i could possibly read/ contact to find out?

  Hi Theresa,

  It’s not true of WordPress.com (nor Facebook or other reputable services, despite the rumours).

  When you agree to the Terms of Service you give WordPress.com permission to publish your stuff on your blog, and (if you choose) things like the WordPress.com community tags, search engine and so on. You’re not giving up your ownership or rights by doing so.
