Interactive features
-
Hello,
I was looking everywhere (without success) to find out if I can create a (new) website with specific features in WordPress (I would absolutely love to be able to use WP for this). The goal is to create an online store where the customer can create his own product + there are already made products available that he can choose from.
The first questions that rise are as follows:
– can I use WP for creating a website that is an online store? If so, what do I need to do for this?
– when I make the website in WP, can I add on the website an interactive feature so that the customers can create their own product out of different (given) components/ options?
It can be drag & drop (such as the ‘dress the doll’ websites for little girls), or in the style of the Converse Customize (ex. http://www.converse.com/us/en/dyo/design-your-own-chuck-taylor-fancy/552617C.html). If it’s doable, can I find such a feature on WP? and what themes are compatible with this?– Do I have the possibility to do these complex things (or others) with the help of someone in WP team, and if so, where can I find a clue for how much this would cost?
Thank you so much for your assistance guys!

That cannot be done on a blog hosted by wordpress.COM. Head on over to wordpress.ORG, please. This guide will explain how to move your WordPress.com site to another hosting platform: Moving to a Self-Hosted WordPress Site https://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-to-a-self-hosted-wordpress-site/
Our support docs do not apply to (1) local installs of wordpress.ORG software on your own server or (2) wordpress.ORG software installs on paid hosting, and we do not provide support for them at wordpress.COM. You are posting to the wrong support forum.
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
As you are referring to a wordpress.ORG software install on paid hosting, if you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG account, then click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right-hand corner of the page that opens, https://wordpress.org/support/register.php so you can post to the support forums there.
