“Interests” in user profile

    The user profile (the one accessed via http://wordpress.com/profile/username) has a “Profile Layout” option to display “Interests”. There is a note that you must select at least one blog to display for your interests to show in your profile. What else is needed for interests to show in the profile? I have two blogs linked, but I do not see anything for Interests. Are interests added somewhere else in the respective blogs? Somewhere else perhaps?

    I think if you have an About page built into your theme, some of the info shows up there. Otherwise as far as I can see only staff and other people with access to your dashboard can read it. It may be groundlaying for BuddyPress or some other Web 2.0 thing.
