Interface language changed
-
Hi,
The Interface language changed from Breton (br) to Portuguese (this week or so, I didn’t log for a few days). There’s probably a conflict between both languages with Brazilian Portuguese as pt-br… I’m not against Portuguese at all but I’d like to have my interface like it was. It only happens when I use the links on the left with the br.wordpress.com adress though. But I use them a lot so… constantly switching between a language I use daily and one I can only decipher is quite frustrating.
Thanks! The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
Others have experienced this too. I’ll tag this thread for Staff. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting. -

It looks like all of your settings are showing in Breton (br) right now. Is that what you wanted them to be? Were you able to resolve this yourself or do you still need assistance?
-
Hi,
I still need assistance. The top blogs etc. are in Portuguese, and all the rest too when I use the br.wordpress.com links (reader, shortlink to new note etc.). -
Thanks for letting me know. I’m going to need a little time to dig into this, but I will keep you posted.
-
The issue should be resolved now, and you should be seeing only Breton (or English, for any still untranslated strings) like before. If you see any Portuguese or another language, please let me know the exact page/link you’re on when it appears.

Hi!
I’m still seeing the same things in Portuguese : the content of Top blogs, latest & top reads (not sure on this one) (the name of these categories are still in Breton!)
and everything if I click on the links on the top and/or top left :
http://br.wordpress.com/post/
http://br.wordpress.com/notifications/
http://br.wordpress.com/my-stats/
http://br.wordpress.com/my-blogs/
http://br.wordpress.com/fresh/
https://br.wordpress.com/settings/ ( This is the weirdest I can see “Idioma da Interface br – Brezhoneg” !!)
& the readerI have absolutely no problem elsewhere, it’s just like you said Breton & English for the non-translated strings. It’s really related to the “br” language code mixing with the “br” country code I guess.
I just can’t use the links with “br.wordpress.com” but here they are ’cause the settings or on br – Brezhoneg…Thank you for your time, I’m getting really embarrassed with this and really thinking of just changing the settings to English and stop bothering you :(

Oh! I just wanted to add that the wordpress e-mails I get if someone follows my blog etc. are in Portuguese too!
-
Thanks for letting me know! This is very important for us to fix, so I really appreciate you sticking with this.
The correct links should be http://bre.wordpress.com/post/ etc. as br is now mapped to Brazilian Portuguese.
I’ve let our developers know that all of these links are still pointing to Portuguese rather than Breton.
-
No problem.
Okay, the bre.wordpress.com link seems to work in Breton, that’s good!
Please keep in touch if/when the updates are done.
Thank you! -

Oh my! I had no idea you were still waiting for help. I’ll tag this thread for Staff again.

It looks like the links in the Reader are now working, but they are still redirecting to br.wordpress.com in your Dashboard admin bar. I’ve followed up with the developers on this issue for you.

Hi geekezig,
Sorry this has taken so long to resolve, but I believe we have tracked down all of the Portuguese links and either redirected Breton or to the default English if there wasn’t a Breton translation. Please clear your browser cache and then let me know if you find any other links that go to the wrong language.

Hi!
Thank you so much for your time and work!
The “What’s Hot” section on my dashboard still links towards Portuguese blogs in top blogs, top posts & latest. But Breton posts are available there too.
Thanks again! -
I’ve passed that information along. Thanks for the updates and for all of your patience! :)
