Intergalactic Header on Mobile

  I’m seeing an unusually large header area on my mobile. I am trying to use a header background image and am having difficulty finding the right size. Everything works fine when viewing on a desktop, but the mobile is showing a very large header area.

  I have screenshots from my iPhone showing the header background image at various sizes.
  This is an image at 460px tall, “recommended” by the theme:

  Here is an image at 960px tall, recommended in a support forum post somewhere:

  Here is an image very tall to try to fill the space, 1960px tall:

  1960 fills the space nicely on mobile but we only see the very top on a desktop.

  Why is the header so big when viewed on a mobile device? Is there anyway I can make it smaller? It’s not that big on the demo version: http://intergalacticdemo.wordpress.com/

  After some further testing I have streamlined my issue. Here is the blog on mobile without a header image:

  Why does the header image bump the content down?

  Just found this conversation after a Google!. I’m having exactly the same issue. It looks like on the mobile site, the header image isn’t stretched to fill the space, like all the other images are, if that makes sense?

  There’s a lot of white space underneath the header.

  

  Interestingly, when I view in landscape mode on the iPhone the White space is greatly reduced.

  

  All is fine on the desktop version. Any ideas when this will be fixed?

  I also have this issue on mobile view. There’s a huge white area below my header image. The problem is also visible in the customizer. I hope you can fix this soon!

  I am also using this theme and am satisfied overall, but have the same issue as everyone else with the white space. Looking forward to the fix. I’ll give you $5 if you fix it?? ; ) Adam. http://www.lignapix.com

  Hi Kathyrn, I’ve got the same problem here – too much white space under header image/text on mobile view. Desktop view is fine however.
