Intermittent logging in and out issues

    On all browsers for the past 3 weeks I have been logged out intermittently from wordpress. This begins with a ‘logged in successfully’ message or sometimes wrong password message then i refresh browser and im able to get in wordpress. then no more than a minute later, we’re logged out. Not sure if this is something you guys handle.

    Hi,

    WordPress sets a cookie in your browser to authenticate a login session. This cookie is set for the WordPress URL stored in your settings section. If you are accessing from a URL that does not match the one in your WordPress settings, then WordPress will not be able to authenticate your session.

    So you can clear cookies and clear browsing data of your browser at primary level.

    A simple fix for this login issue is to make sure that you have the same URL in your Site Address and WordPress Address fields in your WordPress settings. This means that you need to choose either www or a non-www URL in the both fields.

    Hi there @kprice397573857, It helps us to know what site you are working on since things are a bit different here on the WordPressdotcom platform than when using the standalone WordPress software on 3rd party hosting. More about that here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

    The information that @shini1509 provided is only valid for sites using the standalone WordPress software.
