Internal change of site address
-
Hi,
I have several blogs on my wordpress.com -account. As it happens, the blog that I have come to update the most has a site address that doesn’t match the content anymore – AND, the address that I WOULD like to use is one I already use for another wordpress-blog. Is it possible for me to free up the site address of the first mentioned and take it into use for the latter? All options I have come across so far are about transfering the blog/site address somewhere external rather than an internal exchange that I am now longing for.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

It sounds like you have two blogs (for the sake of example, I’ll call them blogabc.wordpress.com and blogdef.wordpress.com) and want to have the content that is currently showing up on blogabc.wordpress.com show up instead at blogdef.wordpress.com. Is that correct?
If so, the only way to do that would be to export the content from blogabc and import it into blogdef.

If instead you wanted the content to appear at blogxyz.wordpress.com and that blog doesn’t yet exist, you could use the blog name change tool, http://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-blog-address/ . This *only* works if the new address has not yet been claimed.

Worked ok!
The only thing that saddens me a bit (as I’m customizing the moved blog) is that my favourite theme – Fresh & Clean – no longer seems available. Is it really gone? -
The Fresh & Clean theme has indeed been retired. This generally happens with themes that no longer can support all of the new functionality on WordPress.com. I would encourage you to look through our large selection of new free themes and maybe you will find one you like even better! :)

*sigh*
I will do just that, thanks!
It was just so… fresh. And clean. (compliments to the maker!)
And happy weekend. -
