internal linking from posting to posting within the blog

  Dear support:
  My blog is getting large enough that I want to start to link older postings that are of the same topic together. so that the reader is able to read the postings on that specific topic. The category method is not working the way I want to link the postings. How do set up a link within the text of a posting to link to another posting within the blog like you can do with a web page?
  Also how do I preview an upgrade without committing until I see if it works for me?
