    domain on hold with web host has caused my wordpress blog to not work (500 internal Server error) is there a way to change my site.com to site.wordpress.com again with out going through my web host? Just want to keep up with my blog…

    whistlinghippie.wordpress.com doesn’t exist
    We cannot even begin to help any blogger who fails to provide the URL starting with http:// for the exact blog they refer to.

    sorry, my site is whistlinghippie.com/blog (not working at this time) is there a way to change it back to whistlinghippie.wordpress.com…

    We provide support only for blogs being hosted WordPress.COM and not for WordPress.ORG software installs. You are posting to the wrong support forum.

    WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate and different http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

    If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.

    you’re not making any sense to me, when I started my blog my address was http://www.whistlinghippie.wordpress.com. Then I bought a domain and was hosting it on Fatcow and I did something (I can’t remember specifically what) to change the address to link to my new site (dropping the wordpress.com). Now I want to reverse that, you’re saying I’m now a .org? How does that happen.

    The domain whistlinghippie.com is not registered through WordPress.com and the site is not hosted here.

    There does not appear to have ever been a site at whistlinghippie.wordpress.com, though you could create it under your username.

    It sounds like you set up a site at Fatcow using the WordPress software, rather than setting up a site here on WordPress.com.

    If you’re running into issues with your site, you should contact Fatcow for more assistance, as we cannot access sites hosted elsewhere.

    If you’d like to move your site TO WordPress.com, you are welcome to do so. Once you resolve the server issues and can regain access to the site, you can do an export of your content, sign up for whistlinghippie.wordpress.com and import the content here. From there, you can point your domain to us and purchase domain mapping as explained here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
