International quotation marks
-
WordPress does a great job on converting the standard quotation mark that’s on your keyboard to the fancy typographical “sixes and nines” ones.
It does this the American way. My blogs language is Dutch and Dutch uses the Unicode U+201E as the opening quote. I can type this character myself to force the Dutch way of quoting, but is it possible to configure WordPress to do this automaticaly?
BTW: There is an extensive article in Wikipedia on internationa quotation marks (titled: “Quotation mark, non-English usage”). -
Bets bet would be to submit this on Monday morning via feedback and ask for this to occur. Staff seems to be working hard on language support.

Have you got any new information yet? My problem is mainly the
environment which converts the quotation marks as well. I just want the normal " which is on the keyboard to allow copy&paste.Cheers
