Internet Explorer 8 does not show uppercases
-
IE 8 and IE 9 beta don’t show uppercases. This blog (http://farmacon.wordpress.com) can be viewed correctly using chrome, firefox, opera or whatever but IE 8 and superior just can’t do it.
I’ve tried several themes. I’m using Digg 3 Column por Small Potato.
Is there any way to fix it?
How is so that nobody else complains about this?
I hope there’s an easy way to solve it. Although I’m unable to understand it, some people still use IE.

No upper cases are shown in any posts or in the link-widget. Take a look at these pictures:
farmacon.wordpress.com via firefox

There is something wrong with some settings or something in IE8 then and I haven’t a clue as to what it could be. It could be a character encoding setting. Since I don’t have IE to take a look, I can’t give you much more help.
Since no one else has complained of this, I would think it is a browser setting on your end.
Go into your preferences, and probably into the section on fonts and such and see if you can fine a “character encoding” setting. If you can, set it to UTF-8 and see what happens. Most likely you will have to clear your browser cache and cookies and then restart the browser after making the change and then have another look.

I think the problem is this particular theme: Digg 3 Column by Small Potato
If I try recently added themes like Coraline or Spectrum the problem with uppercases dissapears.
I believe the Digg 3 Column by Small Potato has no kind of support so I will have to make a change of theme although I’m really comfortable using the Digg 3 one.
Thank you.

The thing is though, no one else using Digg is or has ever complained of this. If it were a problem with the theme itself, there would have been complaints.

@naimacarnaval, I just ran your site through browsershots.org for IE7, 8 and 9, and found that IE8 is showing there with no upper case except in the left sidebar.
My suggestion is to contact staff directly with this as there is either an issue with the theme itself, or perhaps an issue with the language translation perhaps.

You’re welcome, and if you think of it, when you hear from staff, post back in this thread with the results.

Nothing still from the staff but problem solved.
One of my text widgets was written using tags like S. Once I erased all of them the blog runs properly using ie
Thank you.
