Exactly which version of Internet Explorer are you referring to please? Only IE9, IE10 and IE 11 are supported.
Also as I cannot understand what you are reporting I’ll tag this thread for a Staff follow-up. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

version is IE11 on Windows 8.1 in desktop mode. the page attempts to “LEAVE” every time I click update, this error also happens on Gravatar.com Profile editing section.. this error doesn’t affect any other pages. must be a generic script error..
Note that I have my “Tracker protection” enabled on IE

Will you please disable all browser add-ons and that “tracker protection” setting to see what happens when you do?

Could you please confirm that you have third-party cookies enabled in your browser? You can do so by going to this page:
If you do, here are a few other things you can try:
Please make sure you don’t have compatibility mode turned on:
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/internet-explorer/use-compatibility-view#ie=ie-11Make sure that you have JavaScript enabled on your browser.
http://support.microsoft.com/gp/howtoscriptDisable all browser extensions, as timethief suggested.
Try enabling HTTPS:

Disabling Tracking solved the problem,.. I always use tracking protection because I don’t like those ads popping knowing my browsing history and sneaking on my non-related cookies! with tracking.. only cookies generated by that domain can be read by the same domain.. it must be that you’re using some 3rd party for editors .. perhaps uploaders? or external data center URL that aren’t IE11 tested?? thank you

If you’re concerned about ads, you might try a browser extension like AdBlock.
To use WordPress.com properly, you will need to have third-party cookies enabled, at least for our site, or you will run into issues.
