Internet explorer stops working as soon as i edit a page

The moment i start working/editing one of my pages, internet explorer stops working:
the place where you can edit the text, spreads over the whole width of the page and i cant do anything anymore -
its very annoying because i cant work in my text, i can’t adjust or edit my layout of my texts.
Before it started with parts of my text disappearing each time i wanted to edit a page: when i viewed my page all text and images were on but as soon as i pressed edit, half of the images and text disappeared. I hope you guys got a solution

There has been IE problems with wordpress popping
up on the forums for the last hour I recommend searching
the forums and you might come across answer… =) -

I am experiencing slow response times from the WP server and especially when trying to edit or use the dashboard. I communicated with them by email on Friday and they indicate that I am the only one suffering this problem and that no one else has complained. It is a serious problem and I know it is not me, as all my other internet sites come up quickly.

@ Kenmoyes thats indeed somewhat the same problem as i have, but its not just slow responses but it just stops working.
@ singular: i tried it on both computers: xp – ie 6.0 and on my vista – with i dont know which version but one of the newest versions

This is the response I got from support at WP. “We haven’t had any other reports of slow response from our servers. Are you still having issues with this?

@pyreneenoversteek – I’m running Vista, and have IE 7.0.6000.16643 although I don’t use it often (I use FireFox – currently 2.0.0.14 – as my primary browser). I had no problem editing posts using IE 7 just now. We have seen some recent issues where people had problems with older versions of FireFox and Safari, which seem to go away as soon as they start using the current version of the browser.

Most of the slowness problems yesterday were caused by a denial-of-service attack around the Dallas area – see this thread for details.

Well at this moment i gave it another try and the moment i take ‘edit’ and try to type it blocks completely and the only thing i can do is ctrl alt del and stop ieplorer.
Strange is that all other websites work without problems

@kenmoyes – I’ve tried loading the first page of your blog 4 times now as an experiment. Most of the wait time appears to be spent waiting for responses from digg.com. I also saw one delay from stats.wordpress.com, but that was still shorter than the lag caused waiting for digg to respond.
I’ve noticed that the stats page in the dashboard can take some time to load, so I suspect that the blog stats in the sidebar is where that one came from. I haven’t worked with digg at all, so I don’t know what the issue might be with their responsiveness.

Ok i just gave it another try on one of my other pages and its strange but it seems that i only got problems on one of my 6 pages… Im just gonna delete the page i got problems with and re-open it, i hope its solved then.
All of my other pages seem to work quite ok.

If there’s a consistent problem with a single page, and no problems with the others, it might be related to the contents of that page…

Well i seem to have more and more problems, parts of my text are disappearing, pictures stay on the page but disappear while editing, layout changes everytime i click save page.
When i click save page it reloads, and in edit it just gives another layout then the way i organised it.
the contents of the page are simple, some text, 2 pictures, one linkes to another site..

I think I might just change bloggingserver because if i cant work in my pages or anything, wordpress is no longer of use for me.
And problem is not in my computer (i have used 2 diffrent computers now xp and vista) nor in my internet (other sites work correctly)
Solutions are still welcome!!

is the page i have most problems with, in the other pages while editing sometimes part of texts disappear or images disappear..Regards, Ward

That page is deeply borked. I got an error when I clicked the link as well. I would recommend you delete it entirely.
Copy the text into a text editor like Notepad. Don’t use Word, it will retain whatever is messing things up. Paste the text into Notepad. Copy the image location and link location and paste that in there as well for safekeeping. Double-check that the link location is correct.
Delete the page.
Start over. Use the same title if you like, but post the text only from your Notepad copy, without ANY formatting whatsoever. It’s the formatting that went in there that is messing things up, if I’m any judge of things. Post it, look at it. Then, if everything looks okay, add the image in. If things suddenly break, make the image smaller.

similar pages, and they also had progressively worse problems as the wordpress editor tried to figure out how to fix a problem in the HTML.
