internet says WordPress.com blogs are hacked
-
How do I get Google and Firefox and other browsers to delete notices that my blog may be hacked.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
-
Just searching for your above site on Google doesn’t give me any notification that your site may be hacked. If that were the case, there would be a big, red notice along the lines of “warning! visiting this site may damage your computer.” which I am not getting. Nor do I receive any warnings when visiting your above site (Chrome latest).
If you mean that there are security warnings in someone’s browser when visiting your site, you might be sharing your site at http:// rather than https:// since all WordPressdotcom sites have been moved to SSL. https://en.support.wordpress.com/https/
If this is still an issue for you or your site visitors, please return and add the MODLOOK tag to the Tags section of the forum thread sidebar.

Dear Just Jennifer,
Just after I wrote this, I found the place where you verify your blog with Google and entered the new number they gave me. Perhaps that cleared up the may be hacked message. Thanks for telling me about adding the “s” for the link URL for my WordPress blog. I had noticed that change, but usually the search engines move it to the “s” secure site. A few times when I clicked from an email to go to a comment, the warning message about visiting the site may damage your computer came up.
If it happens again, I’ll add MODLOOK to the tags section of this foreum thread sidebar.
You’re a jewel.
Celebrate you

I sent a link:
https://www.joanyedwards.wordpress.comA lady said when she went there on Firefox it said:
The owner of http://www.joanyedwards.wordpress.com has configured their website improperly.
“To protect your information from being stolen, Firefox has not connected to this website.”She said all the browsers gave this message.
Also, I noticed when I check my blog posts for the shortlinks, they do not have the https in them. They only say the Http: Should they have the https?
I am so proud of the WordPress blog you have allowed me to make free of charge. I’ve used it since October 9, 2009. I don’t want to lose my followers. I don’t want to cause people computer problems.
Is there some way to fix this? Do I need to update my theme or something?
I’d appreciate your help. Thank you very much.
Believe in you.

Hi again- For what it’s worth, I just visited your above site in Firefox (47.0.1 latest) and did not receive any security notification of any kind.
Since this thread is now tagged for Staff input, let’s wait to see what they have to say.

Hi there @joanyedwards, I think the trouble may be with the www in your URL, since the certificate for your site does not have www in it. Can you use this link instead?
-
Good morning @supernovia! I obviously need that second cup of coffee (brewing now), but clicking on the link including the WWW brought me straight to @joanyedwards website at https://joanyedwards.wordpress.com/
Again, no security warnings whatsoever.

Hi @justjennifer :) Must depend on the browser. In Chrome, I get an error that I have to click through before I can redirect. Same in Firefox for me.
But if I skip the www it works great.
