I would like to have my blog come up first when searching with Google or searching in WordPress. I’ve been told there is a trick to this, but I can’t remember what it is. Does it have something to do with tags? Any suggestions would help!

Try to put post topics of a general nature in categories, and specific things in tags. For example, you might put books as a category, and The Da Vinci Code as a tag… you get the idea. Anyway, don’t go over a total of 12 categories and tags per post, otherwise you’ll be flagged as a spammer and your blog won’t show up on the wordpress tag search thingy. Or so I’ve been led to believe. There’s no official word out on that afaik.
With Google it takes a little longer for your blog to show up. Make sure you label any photos with some good descriptive tags. A lot of hits on my blog come via image searches.

The best way is to bookmark all your posts to Digg or technorati…this will really help…my post is one of the first three when i search wesley soccer

Digg? Technorati? I have no clue what they are. And how do you bookmark a post?
