Intranet Start Up Help

  My business is starting an intranet and had a few questions regarding set-up. Our current domain is set up on register.com and wanted to switch it to WordPress. However, Rackspace hosts our emails. If our domain is switched to WordPress, will it interfere with the email hosting on Rackspace?
