  I don’t know what this would be called…??

  I would like a little box on my site that says “Action of The Week”, with space for about 10 intro words and a “read more” link.

  There’s one at http://www.savemoneycanada.com, bottom left of site, called “what folks are saying”.

  Is there a widget or some other option to get something like that on a wordpress blog?

  Most widgets of this kind use javascript and we cannot use it on this multi-user blogging platform for security reasons http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/05/07/javascript-can-i-use-that-on-my-blog/

  You can always send staff a feedback outlining the reasons you want such a widget made and cross your fingers. ;)

  You CAN use an RSS widget displaying the Technorati or WordPress pages for a particular tag, like “environment” or “Okanagan” though.
