intro page without widget or header

hi,
I was wondering whether it is possible to create an intro page to a website that consists of just one image and an “enter” website button (and does not contain widgets or a header or anything else.)

A lot will also depend on what theme you’ve chosen. Some themes have footer widgets and/or a header on full-width pages. While you may be able to remove the header and not add widgets to the footer, this could affect your entire site (depending).

You can customize widgets to appear or not under the “visibility” option in the widget. Given the number of Support threads opened here, it doesn’t entirely seem to work as expected by users.
As far as a header, the default is to display the theme’s header on the Posts page, and all single Posts and Pages. Here, too, if you remove the default header, you can display a custom header on single Posts and Pages. It depends on theme. Do you have one in mind?
Please be a little more specific about the “etc.” if you can.

thank you – will try what you suggested and come back if I have more questions. (with etc. I mean I would like to get rid of everything and just have one image and one “button” to enter site and nothing else as a sort of front page.)

I don’t think I can remove the header entirely from a page. I don’t see any options to do this. The only option I see is:
“Random: Show a different image on each page.”
Or does this depend on the theme? (I use Oxygen right now.)

You don’t have to use a header image at all. Don’t upload one. If you have uploaded one, click on the “remove header image” button on the same page you uploaded or selected one to use. Dashboard>Appearance>Header
If you do upload a header image, it will appear on every post/page on your site.
Oxygen does not support Featured Header Images
