  Hey guys, probabley a dumb question, bvut you know when you first go on a blog and on the right side theres a little welcome blurb, over the blogroll column, how do i achieve that?

  Thanks for the link. When asking questions in the forum, please always provide a link to link you username to your blog as explained in the sticky thread “8 things… ” (yellow section) at the top of the main blog page (#2).

  You will likely have to create that using a text widget and then place it at the top of the sidebar. There are a couple of themes, such as Andreas09, that will create that automatically off of your “about” page, but most themes will not.

  oh okay thanks so much, how can I add a text widget? or can i not with the theme I have chosen?

  No, almost all themes here are widget aware. Take a look at this support document on using the text widget: http://support.wordpress.com/widgets/text-widget/ .
