Introductory post vs About Page

  Hi there bloggers. I’m a new user of WordPress.
  On the first day of the tutorial, WordPress told me to write a Introductory post. I don’t see it any different from About page. Can you help me tell the difference between them?

  Hi,

  I don’t know what the tutorial said, but an introductory post needn’t be about you. It could be about what you intend to do with the site, that is, what the site will be about. That information doesn’t have to come in a post. It could be presented in a separate page, titled “About the site,” or something like that. You could have a parent page “About,” with two child pages: “About me” and “About the site.” Like the pointers in the tutorial, these are just suggestions.
