Intrusive Ads

  I was just wondering if I am the only one irritated by the, to me, new intrusives popup ads.

  I understand the reasons for ads, and do not have a problem with them per se, especvially if unobtrusive. But I do find that these ads as they are now are quite intrusive, and was simply wondering if anyone else has views on this.

  I don’t think WordPress.COM uses Pop-up ads – you might have an infected browser or add in – disable all you browser additions and see if the ads go away –

  also all WordPress.COM ads have an “About These Ads” link next to them you can click on and you go to a WordPress.COM web page that explains what the ads are for

  Aye, it took me all of 20 seconds to work that out when the ads started popping up on another site that I browsed to after signing out from WordPress. WP was the first thing I signed into today, so I naturally thought that something had changed.

  Looks like like some idiot installed something on my laptop without asking and I ended up with this problem – irritating, annoying and generally time wasting. When I find out who the size 11 boot will be applied to the relevant part of the anatomy!
