Why am I receiving an "Invalid security certificate" error?

    Hello Gentle Support Folks,

    I paid for a unique domain name when registering a blog with WordPress. Is there any way of rectifying the following error that Firefox consistently posts when I log-off from WordPress. I fear that anyone who may surf to my blog may be receiving the same dire warning. See below:

    “rakeenan.com uses an invalid security certificate.

    The certificate is only valid for the following names:
    *.wordpress.com , wordpress.com

    (Error code: ssl_error_bad_cert_domain)”

    Hi Bob,

    When I visit your site in Firefox, I do not see this error message. Can you provide me with the following information?

    1. What version of Firefox are you using?

    2. Do you encounter this error on any other site?

    3. Is this error only coming up when you log out of WordPress? If so, can you let me know how you typically log out of WordPress?

    4. Do you ever receive any other warning messages when on your blog?
