Invalid domain name, not sure why.

    I bought a domain name via GoDaddy. Now I want to create a website via WordPress. Of course, I want to do this with the domain I already own. So I tried adding it, but as soon as I do that, I get an error notification saying “Are you sure you mean this domain name? This is not a valid domain.”

    It’s a .com domain name with only letters, no numbers, hyphens or other special characters. It does contain one letter with an accent (é).

    Could someone please tell me why I’m getting this error?
