Invalid Request notice for new post

Why, when I post something new, I am told that my request is invalid? This is driving me insane!

Does this happen when you click “publish” only? Or does this happen when are doing something else. Please be descriptive.

I am beginning to think I get the “Invalid Request” comment when I use Firefox as my browser. I posted a couple new posts this morning, complete with images (jpegs) using Microsoft Internet Explorer with no problem. I am hoping that using Firefox is not an issue because I much prefer using the Mozilla browser to using the Microsoft product.

I’m getting the same thing when I fist try to post, but when I try a second time, it works. Has to be yet another Firefox problem.

I’m using Firefox 13.0.1 and not experiencing this issue. Please try disabling all brower add-ons and extensions, log out and reboot and log-in again, and then tell us what happens when you do that.

@timetheif; I will try the re-boot thing…though that sounds like A LOT of work…and what if I forget to re-enable the Firefox add ons and extensions I like? Do I go to “Tools” and disable all these things in one of the drop down menus? Though I am not afraid of computers etc…there are gaps in my knowledge of how browsers work and how to make them work better for me…sigh…

Hi,
I also get the Invalid Request notice whenever I have uploaded a new photo and click on “Publish Post”
My user data: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_7_4) AppleWebKit/534.56.5 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.3 Safari/533.19.4

This happens when I use Safari though it is regularly automatically updated. What should I do?

Hmm, when I’m logged in and my URL is
http://wordpress.com/#!/post/
I receive the error message

But when I goto my blog page
http://timesharevacationnow.wordpress.com/
and click the New post link in the upper right area of the webpage I don’t have this issue …

I use IE9. In both cases the URL doesn’t change when I click to post nor does it change when I click to publish.

I click the “New Post” icon for http://timesharevacationnow.wordpress.com/ Vs the “Write a Post” link for http://wordpress.com/#!/post/ and the URL doesn’t change … but I receive the Invalid Request message for http://wordpress.com/#!/post/ and a successful post for http://timesharevacationnow.wordpress.com/

Since both I and other members still have the invalid request issue when posting, I guess the issue isn’t fixed.

When I post when my URL is
http://timesharevacationnow.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post-new.php
I do not receive the error. I am posting from my Dashboard when I do this.

However, When I post when my URL is
http://wordpress.com/#!/post/
I receive the “invalid request” error. I access my blog from http://www.wordpress.com and login when I do this.

Keeps happening to me – using Chrome
If I re-do the post a 2nd time then it works but its very irratating :(
(But then again its free so :) )

I use Google Chrome on my old Vista laptop, but think I have only had the issue on my Apple devices. Most recently on my newest iPad but also my iPhone.
