Invalid Request

First, Timethief, please remove your Jul 30 2012 post about “Permalinks causing invalid activation key error”. People are posting into that thread which doesn’t appear to have any relation to our issue. It’s confusing the Op of that thread.
Since both I and other members still have the invalid request issue when posting, I guess the issue isn’t fixed.

Hm, I don’t see anything wrong there.
Specifically, where are you posting? If it the Visual editor tab, HTML editor tab, Full Screen editor, or the New Post tab on the WordPress.com main page?

This is such a hassle, I have to re-post twice all the time. Darn WordPress. I get Invalid request every time…

Double-posting is annoying, and if I forget to copy and repost, I can easily lose my entry. Fix it, please?

First, it’s best to follow the advice from experts like Timethief, she is accurate, thorough and timely.
I’m still on training wheels when it comes to blogging or configuring WordPress but there is one thing I’ve learned, from personal experience, I believe to be worth passing on.
I fixed my Browser connectivity problem by reinstalling my Browser, Internet Explorer 9, for some reason it stopped saving WordPress login data correctly preventing my Blog from displaying properly or not at all.

I’m having the same issue. I get invalid request everytime I post. My browsers are Firefox and IE.

Mine got problems just now :( and I´ve written a huge blog entry. After the new layout showed up, I don´t know where to save my blog as a draft anymore either. so I don´t dare to restart anything.

What is the URL starting with http:// for the blog you are referring to?
(1) If you are trying to create a post on the WordPress.com home page here http://wordpress.com/#!/post/ then forget that please. Instead create posts only on your own dashboard here > Dashboard > Posts > All Posts > Add New
http://NAME_OF_BLOG.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post-new.php(2) Are you using the secure https:// login?
http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/ If not then try using it.(3) Exactly which browser and version of it are you using. If you aren’t sure click here to find out > http://whatsmyuseragent.com/

a. Try using the browser with all extensions or add-ons disabled
